Exploring Digital Design, Thursday, August 30th: What does "digital" mean?

Task: Working in groups of four or five, answer the questions below and present your responses to the class by the start of the period tomorrow.

What does "digital" mean?

What is the opposite of digital?

What are some examples of things that are "digital" and their non-digital counterparts?

Why is digital better?

Does it have any drawbacks?

A successful presentation:

1) Presents accurate and relevant information

2) Presents information in an interesting and memorable way 

3)  Is brief (less than 5 minutes, or about one minute for each question)

4) Includes all group members in the presentation

5) Answers all the questions above

Grading?

• Your classmates and I will use the criteria above to assess your work, and I will assign a grade that averages our feedback. 
• Additionally, I will assess you individually on criteria #1 and #2 and combine that with your group grade.
